ABOUT DEPARTMENTS
The Computer Center was established with the help of benevolent donation of Shri Rasiklal Jamnadas Shah family towards the construction of building. The separate and exclusive building of the Computer Center is constructed near the Chemistry Department and next to Management Department having spacious built up area of 725 sq. mtrs at the ground floor. The first floor having online laboratories has been constructed with the help of donation from the late Sankalchand Patel family of the visnagar. The building envisages two laboratory for administrative work.
The idea of establishing the Centre for Indian Diaspora and Cultural Studies came from the highly inspiring and thought provoking speech of Shri J.C. Sharma, The Hon’ble Secretary (PCD), Ministry of External Affairs, The Government of India, inaugurating the first International Conference on “Indian Diasporic Experience: History, Culture and Identity” (Jan. 22-24, 2002) organized by us. It will not be an exaggeration to say that the centre owes its existence to the care and patronage it has received from the Hon’ble Secretary.
The office of the University-Industry Linkage Cell was established in the April, 2014 to facilitate the development of symbiotic relationships between the University and partners from different industrial sectors. Initially, the partnerships will be aimed to support the newly implemented mandatory industry internships for the campus graduate, postgraduate and research programs. The aim of University-Industry Linkage cell is to act as a dynamic liaison unit with industry counterparts in order to identify opportunities to develop innovative solutions for technological problems.
Smt. Vidyaben Deepchandbhai Gardi Chair is established through the financial support of Deepchandbhai Gardi in Hem. North Gujarat University Campus to stimulate the competitive approach in students.
The Gardi Chair was official inaugurated on May 17, 2011 by Hon. Dr. D. Purandeswari (Minister of State For Human Resource Development) and Hon. Prof. Vasuben Trivedi (Minister of Higher & Technical Education , Women & Child Development, Gujarat State).
